You say it's not fair we have to suffer through this But you're the one who believes in choice Well then who do you blame for our mistakes if it's not fate I'm not sure what chemicals are in our brain That make us act this way Or if they can explain This constant pain we feel If we're a complex system with senses that are built in Aren't we limited by the waves of light and pressure change That reach our brain and try to rearrange The way we think I'm not sure what chemicals are in our brains That make us act this way Or if they can explain This constant pain we feel If you want to believe that Eve ate from a tree Didn't that apple contain seeds And don't you think that over time Those seeds could multiply and form a better tree

(or is that just me?) I was thinking Then I thought again If jesus only wrote In the sand I respect him for that My words don't resonate The same way they do When they're in my brain If words carry weight What can I say If words carry weight How much have I changed

My grandma said sorry she didn't give me The attention she gave the rest of the family She said that she saw something that didn't need fixing Well, I appreciate the gesture it just would have been nice to have heard it from her So, before you go Won't you let me know If there is something I could have done As we drift toward our new lives I hope you realize that you're more than A page in my book or a silly reference In one of my stupid songs (I'm not sure we did anything wrong) So, before I go I want to let you know I don't think there is anything we could have done (The moment you realize the songs you've been listening to give you meaning are distracting) (This is rushed / I don't care)

I'm so sick of simple sugar pop rock songs So, I've tried to make this complex, not easy to diagest I am cutting down the trees I planted as seeds beneath my feet I think I am just like every animal waiting for that bell to ring that tells me when I can eat

about

It is a few ideas I recorded and mixed (mostly) in 7 hours the day before I left for MSU. Recorded in my parent's basement and totals exactly 7 minutes.
